FLAMINGO, GEM and BC are Gokin Solar product ranges, not different manufacturers. Under these names you will find panels with different power ratings, technologies and warranty terms. For you, the right choice starts with the full model designation, not just the range name. Gokin profile and TaiyangNews overview of the BC portfolio.
Gokin is worth considering both for homes and for commercial projects. The recommendation depends on the available space, the panel format and the documents applicable to the delivery. Below we separate information about the company from the characteristics of the models, so that you can compare a specific quote.
Who Gokin Solar is
Gokin Solar dates its founding to 3 July 2019 and is headquartered in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, China. The company presents three main business areas: monocrystalline ingots and wafers, PV modules, and solar power plants. Wafers are the thin slices used to make solar cells. Official timeline and business areas.
In the Solarbe ranking for 2025, Gokin appears in 17th place, with 6 GW of modules shipped. The figure describes shipments under the brand, according to the publication's methodology. It should not be confused with the factories' annual capacity or with the energy produced by a project. Solarbe ranking published in January 2026.
The company states that it has offices in Germany and Italy and warehouses in Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Separately, pv magazine España documents its participation in GENERA 2025 and its agreement with Master Battery for distribution in Spain. These points show European commercial activity, without automatically proving stock or service for every model in Romania. Gokin network and pv magazine report.
FLAMINGO: check the power and the full code
The FLAMINGO range includes models with significant differences. The GK-1-60HT is documented in 475–505 W variants, with a maximum efficiency of 23.3%. TOPCon is the name of the cell technology used in this model, according to the datasheet. The document for this model shows a 15-year product warranty and a 30-year power warranty. FLAMINGO GK-1-60HT datasheet.
At the other end of the range, the GK-2-66HTBD appears in a 710–740 W datasheet, with efficiencies of 22.9–23.8%. A later document presents a 720–735 W selection. Higher power per panel does not, on its own, tell you how many panels fit on the building or which variant suits your project. 710–740 W datasheet and 720–735 W selection.
We recommend considering the more powerful FLAMINGO variants for commercial projects where their format suits the site. For a home, we first assess how the panels fit on the roof. We don't automatically choose the panel with the most watts.
GEM: variants for a careful roof comparison
The GEM GK-1-54HTBD, with a black frame, comes in 440 and 445 W variants, with efficiencies of 22.5% and 22.8%. Another family, the GK-4-48HTBD, is documented at 440–450 W, with efficiencies of 22.0–22.5%. Both use TOPCon. GEM GK-1-54HTBD datasheet and GK-4-48HTBD datasheet.
These variants can be considered for a residential project when they fit the installation layout. The look of the frame may matter to you, but the final decision must include the technical documentation and the warranty. The GEM name does not mean the same efficiency for all variants.
BC: rear contacts and distinct variants
BC describes the placement of the electrical contacts on the back of the cell. Gokin's portfolio includes both all-black variants and higher-power modules. The GK-3-54HGFb is all-black, single-glass, and comes in 480–500 W variants, with efficiencies of 23.5–24.5%. BC GK-3-54HGFb datasheet.
We consider it for projects where both use of space and the look of the roof matter. The datasheet states a 25-year product warranty and a 30-year power warranty. How the warranty applies must be read together with the relevant contractual document.
The 650 W Gokin panel we bring in is the GK-3-72HGBD: BC technology, double glass, a 2382 × 1134 × 30 mm format and 24.1% efficiency, according to the manufacturer's datasheet. We recommend it, alongside the 630 W Gokin (GK-4-66HTBD, TOPCon, bifacial), for ground-mounted systems and industrial halls with sandwich-panel roofs. We don't keep Gokin in stock: we bring it in only by the container, for large projects and for installation companies. On flat roofs we don't install panels longer than 2 m, because the frame can bend. See which panel we install where.
The GK-3-72HGF comes in 660, 665, 670 and 675 W variants. Declared efficiencies rise from 24.4% to 25.0%. The 25% value belongs to the 675 W variant and is a manufacturer specification. We do not present it as the result of an independent comparative test. BC GK-3-72HGF datasheet.
For higher-power projects, the portfolio also includes the GK-4-78HGBD, double-glass, 760–780 W, with efficiencies of 23.7–24.3%. This example shows why we cannot automatically attribute 25% to the entire BC range. GK-4-78HGBD datasheet.
Warranties differ between models
For GEM, the datasheets show 25-year product warranties with restrictions, while the official A3 warranty document states 15 years for the two families mentioned. For the GK-2-66HTBD, the document states 12 years for the product and 30 years for power. That is why your quote must include the warranty applicable to delivery in Romania. Official Gokin A3 warranty.
TÜV Rheinland confirms that certain durability tests were passed according to 2 PfG 2387/02.22 and that the certificate was awarded at ENEX 2026. The announcement does not identify the models and does not publish a numerical yield comparison. We treat it as a testing benchmark, without extending it to every product. TÜV Rheinland announcement.
Choose Gokin with a clear configuration
Nectaria has been active since 2011, imports directly and distributes equipment to installation companies across Romania. We hold ANRE C1A and C2A certifications. We do not buy rejected or downgraded batches, or batches with an unclear warranty. For you, the quote must specify the model, availability and delivery terms.
