K2 Systems was founded in 2004 and is headquartered in Renningen, near Stuttgart. The company develops its systems in Germany, according to its official company profile. SingleHook and SingleRail for pitched roofs

Its role is to create the connection specified by the system between the roof structure and the rail, with the geometry and adjustments appropriate to the configuration.

The K2 SingleRail 36 Light profile forms the longitudinal support to which the modules are fixed. Rails are joined with the appropriate accessory, such as the SingleRail 36 connector set. These parts have distinct roles and are chosen together.

Fixing and adjustment matter for the flatness of the PV array and for load transfer. The documentation for the SingleRail system presents its configurations. On a specific job, the position of the supports and the distances between them are determined according to the roof and the loads.

MiniRail and BasicRail for metal roofs

The K2 MiniRail for trapezoidal metal sheet is a short-rail solution. The family is developed for the geometry of trapezoidal sheet, in the configurations described by the manufacturer. The dimensions of the corrugation, the material and the thickness of the sheet are part of the choice.

For the same area of use on metal roofs, the shop includes the K2 BasicRail 22 profile, BasicClip and the BasicRail 22 locks. BasicRail also handles longitudinal thermal expansion through the way the system is installed, as explained in the official documentation.

For sandwich panel roofs, the choice is made with careful attention to the panel itself and to the configuration approved by its manufacturer. The metal facing, the core and the panel's fixings to the building work together. A solution suitable for a simple trapezoidal sheet does not automatically transfer to every sandwich panel.

Clamps and accessories complete the system

The range includes K2 mid clamps and K2 end clamps. They are chosen according to the module frame and the system instructions. The compatibility range marked on the product is a practical selection criterion.

Design and warranty are directly linked

K2 Base helps with designing systems, determining the configuration and preparing the bill of materials. The tool can provide the structural report and the installation plan for the chosen system. The load-bearing capacity of the building remains a separate check.

K2 offers a warranty of 12 years, extendable to 20 years under the manufacturer's conditions. The extension is linked to documented design in K2 Base and documentation in K2 DocuApp, according to the official terms. It is worth keeping track of the configuration actually delivered and the project documentation.
