Single-phase hybrid inverters

Compare models for homes with a single-phase grid connection by power, MPPT range, battery architecture and backup output, not just by the kW figure in the title.

Battery compatibility is checked per model and firmware version; "hybrid" does not mean compatible with any battery.

How to compare two single-phase inverters

Rated power is only the first filter. The following data determine whether the equipment suits the project.

  • Warranty, communications and installation conditions

Clear answers

Questions before you buy

These answers explain the commercial and technical limits of the choice. The product specification and the confirmed quote remain decisive.

What is a single-phase hybrid inverter?

It is an inverter for a single-phase installation that can manage PV generation and, in approved configurations, the charging and discharging of a battery.

Can I install an inverter more powerful than my grid connection?

The permitted power depends on the grid connection, approvals, protection devices and the design. Do not choose the power based on annual consumption alone; check the approved limit and the distribution system operator's rules.

Does every hybrid inverter provide power during an outage?

Not automatically. A dedicated backup/EPS output, the correct wiring scheme and, as a rule, a compatible battery are required. The power available in backup mode may differ from the rated power.

How do I check which battery is compatible?

Compare the manufacturer's official list, the system voltage, the communication protocol, the current limits and the firmware version for the exact combination.
